This is a unique product from the specialist Japanese weed control tool manufacturer Dokan. It is a useful garden maintenance tool designed specifically for weeding. The weeding hoe (for one hand) has a blade angle that makes it easy to use while kneeling or crouching, allowing weeds to be removed, roots and all, with ease.
This weeding hoe is designed to get in between plants, dig deep, and uproot weeds. The narrow head and long handle allowing the weeder to get into difficult to access spaces.
The serrated edge digs in and loosens the soil while catching the roots to completely remove weeds.
The flat reverse side of the blade can be used to cut and scrape away shallow rooting weeds that grow close to the surface, in a similar action to a vegetable peeler, removing the weeds without disturbing the deeper layers of soil.
The blade is made of durable carbon steel with a hardened finish, this weeding tool is easy to use, easy to clean, and is very durable.

The weeding hoe blade is made from hardened carbon steel to provide a blade that will hold its edge. However, carbon steel will rust if stored in damp conditions. After use, clean of any soil and plant material and wipe with an oily rag. The oil will provide a protective coating in the steel and prevent the wood handle from drying and splitting.
Sharpen the blades regularly with a fine sharpening stone or coarse diamond sharpener.
