Lakewood Products has developed two planting spades specifically designed for plantation forestry work.
The Pro-Planter Lite V2 planting spade was developed on request from an Australian company which sells Pro-Pruner products. This design is based on Australian forestry planting requirements and customer feedback . These were first introduced in 2017 and are selling well.
The Pro-Planter standard planting spade has been designed and developed to meet New Zealand forestry planting requirements.
All spades have a metal collar around the base of the 'D' handle to add strength and durability.
While these spades were designed for plantation forestry work, they are also idea for other large planting tasks such as riparian protection planting, native bush restoration planting and orchard planting.
Spades are made in New Zealand.
